What's Up Genealogy? Episode 9 with Madaleine Laird

Like last week, we're having to do things just a little bit differently. Usually the What's Up Genealogy? Show is live. However, this Friday night, I'll be at the National Genealogical Society 2013 Conference in Las Vegas, and I didn't want to make you suffer through a painfully slow live show because it was being broadcasted through wifi. {For better resuts, Google+ recommends broadcasting via a hardlined connection, especially for the person who is hosting the Hangout On Air.}

So, the What's Up Genealogy? episode 9 was pre-recorded as well. We visited with Madaleine Laird who has this totally awesome research project that involves a quilt, professional women, and a community. And? I'll let her tell you all about it. Oh, and who is the "we" who visited with her? That would be Gena Phillibert-Ortega, Linda McCauley, Tessa Keough, and Jerry Kocis. {Whoa. Right?}

And then keep your eyes and ears peeled or open or whatever because I have some awesome things planned just for you from NGS2013 Las Vegas. Contests, fun, and more! Especially keep an eye out here on the blog for daily morning blogs from NGS2013 from me as well as on my YouTube Channel for end-of-day vlogging {video blogging} summaries of what I actually did that day as well as news from the conference.

Here are the links for Episode 9 with Madaleine Laird:

Note: There is a known issue with some users of Google+'s Hangouts on Air where the video is not working properly for some participants. And I'm one of them. The guest's video in my last 3 Hangouts on Air did not work. I am in contact with Google+ Developers who are currently working on the problem so that it doesn't occur again, and I was able to provide them 3 Hangouts on Air in a row where it occurred as well as detailed information with discernible patterns in the behavior and situations of the Hangouts on Air. Regardless, the series continues on Friday evening with a live broadcast 17 May 2013 at 8pm CT. Because Google+ Developers are working on the problem, I had to make this Hangout on Air What's Up Genealogy? Episode public last Friday afternoon and some people were able to access this show early by going to my YouTube Channel and finding it.

What's Up Genealogy? Show, Episode 8 with Lynn Palermo

This week and next week, we're having to do things just a little bit differently. Usually the What's Up Genealogy? Show is live. However, this Friday night, I have a wedding to go to, and I don't think the bride and groom would appreciate me conducting a Hangout On Air from the church.

Or from the reception. {Not that I thought about doing that at all. ;) }

Also? Next week, I'll be attending the NGS 2013 Conference in Las Vegas. I have some surprises that I'll be doing from there, but with wifi speed and such at the conference, I didn't want to run the risk of a painfully slow live broadcast. And? I couldn't get our house sitter to do the show for me. {Apparently House Sitters don't do things like that. Who knew?}

So, this Friday night's What's Up Genealogy? episode 8 with Lynn Palermo {the Armchair Genealogist} was pre-recorded and is below! And on the panel? Jerry Kocis, Tessa Keough, and Linda McCauley.

And the next episode will be released early this weekend. That What's Up Genealogy? episode 9 was pre-recorded as well. You see, we've been busy little bees just a-buzzin' everywhere. We visited with Madaleine Laird who has this totally awesome research project that involves a quilt, professional women, and a community. And? I'll let her tell you all about it. Oh, and who is the "we" who visited with her? That would be Gena Phillibert-Ortega, Linda McCauley, Tessa Keough, and Jerry Kocis. {Whoa. Right?}

And then keep your eyes and ears peeled or open or whatever because I have some awesome things planned just for you from NGS2013 Las Vegas. Contests, fun, and more!
