  1. On the Genealogy-on-TV front: PBS' Find Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates Jr. begins 23 Sep 2014; PBS' other popular genealogy show Genealogy Roadshow will be back for a 2nd season as well and they're looking for family stories -- submit now for consideration; and yesterday on Facebook Megan Smolenyak Smolenyak shared a photo of Valerie Bertinelli in London filming her episode of the latest WDYTYA?...when will it be? Who knows. But? Valerie Bertinelli!! 
  2. Apple has announced their version of cloud storage to rival both Dropbox and Google Drive. (Business Insider). [I wonder if they're too late?]
  3. As she tends to do, The Legal Genealogist breaks down all the legalese and makes this "demurrer" understandable without being "multifarious" or "prolix". 
  4. While I wish they'd update it, I've always loved GenSmarts. On the Rootsmagic blog, Bruce gives handy tips on how to use GenSmarts and Rootsmagic together. [A winning combo!]
  5. Yesterday, Ancestry.com updated the Texas Convict Records database and added a 3rd party web index, UK, Royal Naval Division Index.
  6. Yesterday, FamilySearch.org added record indexes and record images for Chile, Guatemala, Peru, and Spain.
  7. As part of their 100 in 100 Campaign, findmypast.com has added record sets 57 (Berkshire Marriages) and 58 (Berkshire Burials).
  8. Recently, Genealogy Trails volunteer contributors uploaded various types of records for various counties in the following US states: Delaware, Mississppi, New York, and Pennsylvania.
  9. USGenWeb Archives volunteer contributors uploaded various types of records yesterday of various counties in the following US states: Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
