  3. Between Feedly and Evernote getting hit with DDos attacks (SocialTimes) and Tweetdeck having to be taken down temporarily by Twitter to assess a security breach (Engadget), makes you wish for the good ol' days of pen, paper, snail mail, phones that did just one thing, newspapers -- black ink on the fingers and all -- and clouds that just sometimes made random shapes of poodles and bunny rabbits in the sky.
  4. An interesting peek at what might of been had Powell had gotten his way about the division of the western US states: This 19th Century Map Could Have Transformed the West. (New Republic)
  5. Kind of a scary thought for future family historians: Controversial Powers Forcing Press to Delete Online Archives 'Will Create Black Hole in History'. (Mail Online)
  6. Have Arizona roots? GenealogyBank added 65 Arizona Newspapers.
  7. Yesterday, FamilySearch.org added record indexes and record images for Belgium and Portugal.

  9. USGenWeb Archives volunteer contributors uploaded various types of records yesterday of various counties in the following US states: Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Texas, and Virginia.
  10. Okay. Aesthetically I love this. I mean, the inner artist in me adores the symbolism in this. However, the ephemera and photo whisperer in me gasped and exclaimed, "But the clues and stories revealed on those photos! And did you scan everything front and back first?!?" Long Lost Images from the Vietnam War Made into Powerful Installation (Feature Shoot) Regardless, I'll have to run down to Rice Gallery and experience it because how could I not?
Watch the Video below. ( Or go here and watch it: http://www.featureshoot.com/2014/06/long-lost-images-from-the-vietnam-war-made-into-powerful-installation/ )
