  • The Photo Attorney answers the question, "Is a permit required for photography on public lands?" {That's a good question with a very thorough answer.}
  • iOS 7 was released yesterday! Here is an excellent review of it by Oliver Haslam from Redmond Pie who participated in the beta testing for it.
  • While there are quite a few developers who updated their apps yesterday to run nicely on the new iOS7, genealogists and family historians will be especially pleased to note Ancestry.com's iOS7 optimized app and Evernote's iOS7 optimized app were both unveiled yesterday. {And are gorgeous.}

  • On the 9to5 Mac Blog, Benjamin announces Apple has made iOS7 User Guides available in the iBookstore. {Is it just me, or does Benjamin look about 12 years old in his bio image?}
  • On the TUAW blog, Mel tells us the iPhone and iPad Skype apps were updated and now allow users to join group voice calls. Makes long distance research collaboration that much easier.
  • On Engadget's blog, Donald reveals Evernote for Mac now offers a presentation mode if you are a premium user of Evernote. Great for those genealogy and family history presenters and educators who use a Mac. Not to mention those who collaborate for meetings.
  • The Legacy Virtual Users Group on Google+ meets today for their monthly meeting in a Hangout On Air. These are always helpful and informative for those who use Legacy software or for those who are thinking of buying it.
  • Findery is a new application that allows users to find and leave notes all over the world on their map. Has some great genealogy and family history potential methinks.
  • On his British Genes Blog, Chris shares with us the online New North Yorkshire Archives Bookshop.
  • Records for England and Australia as well as border crossings from Canada to the US are all new and updated records on Ancestry.com. Have they added something you've been needing for your research?

Other mornings, other things that just might sizzle your bacon. {Mmmm, bacon.}
