  1. From the Wow Department: Watch World War I Unfold in a 3-Minute Time-Lapse Film. (openculture.com)
  2. The British Museum asks, "Have we found Fred and Nellie?" [I think they have. Do you? And? In my personal experience, if you blog it, eventually you're found. Sometimes sooner, sometimes later.]
  3. On the Transylvanian Dutch blog, John gives a word of caution about obituaries.
  4. Researchers tend to read and deal with PDFs on-the-go. Here are some iPad apps for highlighting and reviewing PDFs from makeuseof.com.
  5. Also from makeuseof.com, here is a handy app to watermark your photos with.
  6. For Memorial Day, MyHeritage is making their US military records free to access from May 23rd to May 26th.
  7. Have "photo clutter?" The Practical Archivist advises to PLEASE DELETE: De-Clutter Your Digital Photos. [I need to do this again.]
  8. Have Australian roots? The New South Wales Public Library reports they are well on their way to the largest collection of digitized newspapers in Australia.
  9. USGenWeb Archives volunteer contributors uploaded various types of records yesterday of various counties in the following US states: Florida, Louisiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington.

Other things that might interest you. Maybe. Maybe not. But maybe?

Thanks for providing a blog I needed to read. The Practical Archivist post was what I needed because I was feeling bogged down by the hundreds of photos I have.

I read your blog everyday because there is always something to learn and I appreciate the work you put into it. Thank you
